ICPA Presentation to the Itasca County Family YMCA

As a result of a recent fundraiser, the board of the ICPA (Itasca County Pickleball Association) determined that a share of their proceeds should be re-invested in the YMCA.  The Y has been an outstanding partner in assisting with the growth of pickleball in the Itasca County area.  Thrivent Financial was also a contributor to the ICPA fundraiser.

Pictured above is Don Carlson, President, Carol Perrott, Treasurer and Donna Hartung, Secretary of the ICPA presenting two portable pickleball net systems and eight paddles to Nick Hansen, Executive Director and Kris Bolin, Health & Wellness Director of the Itasca County Family YMCA.  This equipment will be utilized to support the current pickleball programing indoors at the Y and also provide loaner equipment for area youth and adults who wish to explore the exciting sport of pickleball next spring when the outdoor courts open once again. 

Several of the paddles were donated by Paddletec, a leading company in the manufacturing and selling of pickleball equipment in the U.S.  Unable to be present for the presentation was Ann Will, the northern MN representative for Paddletec.
